The all-new GoPro Hero3+ has been announced. The previous model has proved hugely popular, and this update is looking like a most worthy successor. The new model is 20% smaller and lighter than the previous iteration, and is still fully compatible with all existing GoPro accessories.
Obviously video on the move is the main asset of this device, but you can also capture stills via a 12MP camera at 30 frames per second. Time lapse modes enable automatic photo capture at 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 or 60 second intervals.
The top-line Black Edition (pictured above) boasts an all-new camera with a claimed 30% increase in sharpness, improved battery life, which will be very welcome, and faster Wi-Fi speeds. The Black Edition is now available to order at $399.
