Flickr has added a range of functionality to its iphone app, including the ability to use live filters, so you can see how they are going to look before you take the shot. This is pretty neat, but there’s now also the ability to customize your own filters so you get the precise look that you want.
There are a range of new camera tools; grids to aid your composition and alignment, pinch to zoom, and the ability to lock focus and exposure points.
If that wasn’t enough, there are also new editing tools, including enhance, crop, sharpen, adjust color, levels, add the ability to add vignettes to your photos.
All things considered this is an excellent and comprehensive update, it’s just annoying that there is still no official Flickr app for iPad. Considering many users, including myself, pay for a pro account, I think this is extremely short-sighted from Flickr, particularly as 500px offer a fantastic iPad app with even their free account.Back to Top
