It’s been over 4 years since the original iPad was launched, but despite it’s popularity, Flickr strangely has never seen the need to give its many users what they want — an iPad app to go alongside their excellent iPhone version.
Thankfully that rather sad situation was rectified today with the release of the all new Flickr for iPad.
I’ve been using the new app today and the good news is its been worth the prolonged wait. Flickr for iPad takes full advantage of the hi-res retina screens of the newer iPads. Images look great in their high resolution glory, and you can organise share your photos with ease.
The app can be used in landscape or portrait mode, and, like the iPhone version, you can shoot photos from within the app and apply live filter adjustments to your images.
