In this showcase series we feature the gorgeous creative portrait photography of Oren Hayman.
Oren gave us a little background to his work:
I’m 35 years old, from Israel, and a self-taught photographer. I picked up photography about 6 years ago, just bought a camera and immediately fell in love with it, photography became a consuming passion for me.

Can you tell us about your creative portrait work?
I draw my inspiration from the people I am photographing, in my opinion, it is impossible to produce authentic portraits without connecting with your photographic subject, even momentarily. In the end it is my connection to that person that makes the image.
Model: Daya Amir
What equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III (recently upgraded from the 5d II) with either a 50mm f/1.2 or a 100mm macro, I love using the macro lens because I love getting up close and personal with my subjects. As far as processing goes, I try to keep it as faithful to the atmosphere of the shoot and to reflect the person’s personality

Do you any special photographic work planned for the near future?
It may sound a bit odd but to me photography is a bit like breathing, It’s like I cannot stop. There will always be things to inspire to. Every day is an opportunity to make something new and beautiful, and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
